摘 要：本文对中文产品说明书的语篇特征进行了简要的分析，并运
用实例分析的方法归纳
了中文产品说明书英译的一些方法和特点。

引言
随着中国
对外改革开放的不断深入和发展，特别是加入wto之后，
越来越多的中国商品不断地进入世界市场，与
外国的商品进行竞争。
而几乎任何的商品在出口时，通常都要将中文的产品说明书翻译成
外文，
方可在相应的国家或地区销售，其中绝大部分都是汉译英的
翻译。随着我国进出口贸易的不断发展，产品
说明书的翻译在当今
社会上的需求将愈来愈广泛。在实践中，广大的翻译工作者进行了
大量的产
品说明书的翻译实践工作；在理论上，对这一具体的科技
经贸文体的翻译现象进行研究也受到了越来越的
重视。因此，本文
旨在运用描写、比较、和实例分析等文体学研究方法以及语篇翻译
理论对中文
产品说明书的文体特征及其英译特点进行归纳和研究。
1.
中文产品说明书的语篇特征
产品说明书一般属于科技和经贸实用文体的一部分。科技文体由
于
题材内容、使用方式和应用范围的特殊性而形成了自身在体例、用
词、语用和修辞等多方面的
文体特征。而在科技实用文体中，产品
说明书又是一种独特的文体。通过实例分析可以看出，说明书在文
体上既具有科技文体的一般性，又具有自身特殊性，其内容、体例、
格式、句子
结构等均与其它科技文体有较大的区别。
产品说明书承担着向消费者介绍产品的性能、作用
、生产工艺、使
用方法等多种信息的重要作用，目的在于对产品进行全面介绍与宣
传。其体例和
内容由于产品的不同也会有较大的差别。如工业产品
使用说明书“一般将安全使用，工作原理、结构、技
术参数、安装、
调试、操作和故障排除等部分（或选用几部分）作为并列的章节安
排，形成语篇
”（朱植德，2003：
58）。药品使用说明书中一般包括药品名称，成份，性状，作用类
别，功能主治，用
法用量，注意事项，规格，有效期，生产日期等等。 食品使用说明
书一般包括食品名称，配料
，食用方法，保质期和生产日期等。而
家用电器说明书则“一般来说它通常由特别功能，零件说明，操作
要
领，注意事项，保养方法几大部分组成。”（潘月，2003： 45）
就其句
子结构特点而言，由于其内容一般均为解释、说明、规定和
建议等，所以各种说明书所使用的句子结构，
与其它类型的科技论
文比较，一般相对要简短一些, 多使用简单句、陈述句、无主句和祈
使句
等，少见冗长复杂的叠床架屋式的复合句，因此，它具备一般
说明性文本的语言特点，如简洁、明了、轻
快等。
从词汇上来看，其特点则一般是大量使用专有名词或专业术语和缩
略词等。

2. 产品说明书英译的特点
2.1专有名词或专业术语的英译
在各种各样的产品说明书里，一般都会包含大量有关的专
有名词或
专业术语,比如工业产品说明书中的球轴承（ball
bearing）、大圆
头螺钉（truss head screw）、数码声显（digital
indicator）；化
妆品说明书中的粉底（foundation）、粉扑（powder
puff）、睫毛
膏（mascara）以及医药产品说明刘 坚（1968─），男，湖南湘潭
人，在读硕士，湖南科技大学外国语学院讲师，主要从事应用语言
学研究。
书中的单甘脂（glycery monostearafe）、十八醇、
（octadocnol）、
人参(ginseng)等等。根据科技术语翻译的一般原
则（如确切性，单义性，系统性，简明性，理
据性，稳定性，能产
性等），（樊才云，钟含春， 2003： 57）中文产品说明书中术语的
英译一般应采取直译的方法，即将中文术语照字面意思直接翻译成
相对应、对等的英文
术语。当中文术语和英文对应术语的相关信息
（所指、内涵、用法）都基本吻合（或无根本忤逆）时，直
译法一
般具有简单明了的效果。如：电子产品中的“直流电压”和“电容器”
可分别直译为“dc voltage”和“capacitor”；医药化工产品中的“巯基
乙酸”和“洁面泡沫”可分别直译为“mercptoacetic acid”和
“cleaning
foam”；而食用产品中的“防腐剂”和“稳定剂”则可分别直
译为“preservative”和
“stabilizer”等等。
2.2 简单句、无主句和并列句的英译
中文化妆品说明书中多习惯使用简单句,而英译时则多转换为长句、
复合句。这一特点一般在
说明书中的“功能”说明部分尤为突出。这
是因为“在科技英语中，为了论理准确（即所下的定义、定律
、定理
要精确，所描绘的概念、叙述的生产工艺过程要清楚），往往会加
入一定修饰性、限制性
的语句??有的句子甚至构成整整一个段落”。
（范武邱，2001：63）但这些句子“结构长而不乱
，信息分布合理，
给人以一气呵成之感”。（同上，58）并且正是由于这些长句、复合
句的使
用， 使得英文说明书更显得条理清晰，逻辑性强。中文说明
书里的简单句、无主句和并列句在英译时多
采用归化法，将其转化
为英文的长句或复合句，主要表现为定语从句、-ing结构以及并列
结
构。
2.2.1 转化为定语从句
1) 可蒙新配方含丰富天然植物

2.2.2 转化为-ing结构

所有的“说明书都属the-d’s-and –don’ts style(‘注意事项’文体)”
。
（朱植德，2003：58）广泛使用祈使句是中英文产品说明书的突出
的句法特点。特别是
在“使用方法”、“注意事项”或“警告”部分，几
乎句句皆是。在翻译方法上，一般采取直译法，仍然
译成英语的祈
使句。
1）
把2颗”aa”电池按照电池箱内所示的极性方向放入；

作或事实本身，而不是由谁
来完成某动作或事情。此外，祈使句还
有一大优势：在其使用过程中让每一位消费者都觉得就像是专门为
自己介绍的，有种亲切感，能拉近厂商与消费者之间的距离。
结 语
中文产品说明书的品种种类繁多，但由于其作用和目的的基本一致
性，在文体上均有许多共同
之处，因此，笔者才得以总结出中文说
明书的一些文体特点及其英译词句的一些基本特征。希望这些总结
能对广大的译者提高中文产品说明书英译的速度和效率提供帮助。
但要使译文真正正确、规范、
简练而又富有吸引力，还需要译者在
实践中广泛收集资料，注意积累，认真查阅；而且还要根据具体的<
br>产品自身的特点，再三斟酌，灵活变通，方能实现通过译文“对产品
进行全面介绍与宣传”的目的
。

定期检查柜内各种元器件，确认任一单元都没有松动的螺钉

电源和电线的连接都安全可靠；并保持外观完好。
定期吹扫柜内，清除积下的灰尘、杂物，保持柜内卫生。
定期检查控制柜内保险丝、继电器和其他可更换元件

二、 安装及接线installation and
wiring
2.1控制箱的安装方法installation of cabinet
body
（柜内与柜外接线请查阅共同提交的接线图纸）

控制柜顶部有吊耳，用于吊装。吊装时应注意不得将柜体（特别是
转角
边缘）上的烤漆磨损或有划伤。柜体应水平放置并紧固在底座上。
在技术图纸中，控制柜有
专门的接线图，要掌握控制柜原理以及在
现场完成外部接线，都要仔细查阅相关接线图。
接线图上的每一根线都有唯一的线号，没有重复。
柜内元件与柜外设备发生联系
时，都通过接线端子排转接。在接线
图上，端子排横放，其上侧为柜内接线，下侧为柜外接线。在端子<
br>排两侧的线上除了线号之外还标有去向（即接至哪一个柜内元件或
柜外设备），并注有文字说明。
控制柜在底部预留有进线孔，在接外部电缆时，应将电缆从柜底接
入，并作标识。
在全部接线完成并经调试投入运行后，应在柜底将
接进电缆用防火泥封堵。

2.2调试regulation
在安装
接线完成后，施工人员和调试人员应分别检查接线，若有错
误须及时改正。检查完毕，可将电源接入，观
察相应指示灯显示是
否正确。例如外部设备的位置状态与指示灯显示的是否一致。如系
统带电后
工作正常，就可以通过操作面板进行试运行。调试方法是
模拟实际操作，将实际运行所要进行的操作逐一
试验，并观察相应
的现象，判断与设计原理是否一致。可能某些条件不具备而不能进
行全部操作
，此时可以做仿真信号，即在端子排上相应的输入点短

一、简介：
我厂生产的直线振动筛是与中国矿业学院联合设计制造的，是利用
振动电机激振的原理，使物
料在筛面上被筛子抛起，同时向前作直
线运动，以合理匹配的筛网达到筛分的目的。适合于0.074—
6mm
的任何物料的筛分，最大给料粒度不大于10mm. i.

四、筛分原理：
物料从给料机均匀地进入筛分机的进料口，在振动电机的激振下向
前方边跳动、边筛分，通过多层筛网分出数种产品和不合格的物品。
筛上物、筛下物，分别从各自的出口
排出，流入料仓或盛料筒。 4

五、结构说明：
本筛机主要由筛箱、筛框、筛网、振动电机、电机台座、减振弹簧、
支架组成。
1、 筛箱：由厚度不同的不锈钢板焊制而成，具有一定的强度、
钢度和耐腐蚀性，是筛机的主要组成部分。
2、
筛框：由不锈钢方管组成，强度高、变形小，主要用来保持
筛网平整，达到正常筛分。
3、
筛网：有低碳钢、黄铜、青铜、不锈钢丝等数种筛网。
4、
振动电机性能稳定，寿命长。
5、
电机台座：下振式（电机安在筛箱下方），使用前连接螺钉
必须拧紧，特别是新筛机试用前三天必须反复紧固，以免松动，造
成事故。
6、 减振弹簧：阻止振传给地面同时支持筛箱的全部重量。安装
时，弹簧必须垂直于地面。
7、
支架：由四个支柱和两个槽钢组成，支持着筛箱。安装时支
柱必须垂直于地面，连接支柱的槽钢应相互平行。 5. structure

六、安装与调试：
新筛机安装好以后，应按以下要求检查：

2、 检查振动电机的接线运转方向；两台振动电机必须反向运
转。
3、 检查筛机、电机的连接螺丝钉，必须紧固。
4、
检查支架，安装的是否垂直、稳固，支柱不得悬空。
5、
以上各项没问题，方能开机试车，先空载半小时，观察筛机，
筛机启动应迅速、运行平稳、无特殊噪音，方能正常使用。 6,

七、直线筛的筛网的安装
1、先将筛框从箱体中取出来。
2、将压网筋螺钉卸下，取下压网筋(各个筛机压网筋不能互换)。
3、检查网架，和筛网接触的网架面不能有碰伤和硬划伤，如有应
用细砂纸打磨平至光滑。
4、首先将剪好的粗筛网平铺在筛网的下面，四周铺平，用压条压
好。
5、再把剪好的细筛网平铺在网架上。
6、扣上压网筋，首先将靠出料上端的压网筋固定，拉平筛网，不
能有皱褶，然后再将靠进
料端是压网筋固定。待网在长度方向绷紧
后，再将两侧压网筋固定。固定两侧压网筋时，要分段从中间开
始
压紧螺丝。
7、用中间的压网条将网压紧。
8、最后将压网筋螺丝逐个拧紧，使整个网面绷紧。
9、将绷好的网架装入箱体，将压网架装入，拧紧螺丝(四周密封
条不能有断裂和缺块，四周密封和压网筋密封都要严)。

piece of coarse screen mesh and tile it
below
the fine screen mesh, surrounded by paved, with
the
pressure by the pressure bar.
5),
then cut out of a piece of fine mesh and tile on
the screen
net.
6), fasten pressure
net bars, firstly reinforcement by pressure
net bars to the upper end of the outlet ,
level the screen, not
wrinkled, and then fixed
the
pressure net bars to the feeding end.

bars, to
start clamping screw from the middle

8), at last tighten the screws
on the pressure net bars one by
one, so that
the whole mesh taut.

not have the broken
and missing pieces, the seal by seals ring
and
pressure net bars should be enclosed).
八、操作规程：
1、准备：操作者应先阅读交班记录，然后检查筛网是否完
好、筛框
是否压紧，各连接螺钉是否牢固、弹簧支架是否正常。
2、启动：空机运行数分钟，正常后，才能给料生产，若有异常应先
排除故障再生产。
3、运转：正常生产中操作者不得随便离开岗位，以免发生事故。
4、停机：先停给料机，后停筛机，并写好交班记录。
