There is a
kingdom far away. Lion is the king. One day he
says to all the
other animals. “Listen,
I’m going to sleep. Be quiet.” Then he lies down
under a
big tree and sleeps.
Mouse comes out
of his
hole. He
wants
to
look for
something to
eat.
He
steps
onto
Lion.
Lion
wakes
up
and
becomes
very
angry.
He
catches
Mouse.
Mouse begs:
“I’m sorry, my king!
I’m so
careless. Don’t
eat me. One
day
I’ll
help you.” Lion
laughs: “One day you’ll help me?! You are too
small for m
e to
eat. Just go
far away!” Lion lets Mouse go.
A long time later, Lion wanders in the
jungle. He falls into a net. He tries
his best but he can’t get out of the
net. Tears come to his eyes. Mouse comes.
“Don’t worry, my king. I’ll help you.”
Mouse bites
and bites until there is a
hole
in
the
net
for
Lion
to
come
out.
Lion
says
to
Mouse:
“Thank
you,
my
friend.
We’ll always be
friends.”
