If amorous faith, a heart
of guileless ways,
假如爱的迹象是深情的信念

纯真的心灵
,
Soft languors, courteously
controlled desire,
柔和而又恬静
,
礼貌地控制着的欲念
,
And virtuous will, kindled
with noble fire,
在高贵的火焰里燃烧的美好的意愿
,
And lengthened wanderings
in a lightless maze;
还有在黑暗的道路上漫长的旅行
;
If thoughts, which evermore
the brow displays,
假如爱的迹象是眉头上显露的思绪

Or words that faint and
brokenly suspire,
或是由于受到恐惧和羞涩的羁绊
,
Still
checked
with
fear
and
shame;
if
hues
no
higher
使话语变成了凌乱而又微弱的感叹
