A new year means that all of us have the chance to start over again. It’s time to make new

resolutions to help

me be better.

My first resolution is about improving relationships with my family and friends. I am going to spend more time

with my family. Maybe we can take up a new hobby together! Doing more things together with my family will make

my family happy. I am also going to help my friends more. For example, I can help them with their English. Helping

my friends will show them that I care about them. Another one is about how to do better at school. I am going to read

more books in English. That is going to help me learn more English words. Besides, reading is fun.

My resolutions are promises to myself. I believe I can be anything I want if I try my best.

Dear Peter,

In your last letter, you asked me about my plan for the winter vacation. Well, there are many things I want

to change about myself. For example, I want to work harder on study, read more and help my parents to do some

housework. So I am going to do all my homework carefully and discuss with my friends if there are problems. Also,

I want to spend two hours reading every day. And I am going to wash the dishes and sometimes maybe cook dinner

My New Year’s Resolutions

I am going to make three/3 resolutions in 2019.

The first resolution is about improving my physical health. Next year, I am going to take up a hobby. I want to

try cycling. It’s a good way of exercise. Also, it is

green if I

cycle to school. I am going to join a cycling club and

have some training.

The second is about improving my relationships with my family. I know my parents love me and they do all

they can for me. However, sometimes I found they couldn’t understand me and

I even quarreled with them. This year

I am going to help mom with the housework. Besides, I am going to talk more to my parents so that we can have a

better understanding about each other.

The last resolution is about how to do better at school. To be a top student is my dream, and I know it calls for

my effort. I am going to make a better plan in my study and stick to my plan. I am sure where there is a will, there is

a way.
