My View on Job-hopping
People have different attitudes towards
their work. Some prefer to stick to one
occupation as their lifelong career.
These people are of the opinion that one
can never do his work well unless he is
devoted to only one job in his lifetime.
So if one changes his job frequently,
he will not get the necessary experience
needed in his work.
Others,
on the other hand, like to change their jobs at
times. In their opinion,
people
work
in
order
to
make
more
money.
If
they
havea
chance
to
get
a
better paid
job, they will certainly try to get this chance.
Besides, if a person
does only one job
all his life, he will certainly be bored with it.
My idea is that interest is the most
important if one wants to excel others in
his job. So if a person is not
interested in his job, job hopping is normal and
even necessary. Otherwise, he will
suffer from his work, and inevitably, he is
not likely to succeed in his career.

Most of us assume that we go to college
in order to be educated, to become
scholars, and be useful to society when
we complete our studies. Of course,
this is true, but there is more to it
than that. We go to college not only to learn
knowledge, but to prepare ourselves for
the real world, for college is a society
in miniature. Thus, it teaches us how
to handle relationships between different
kinds
of
people
later.
College
life
provides
many
activities,
which
is
a
stepping
stone
in
the
real
world.
College
education
also
trains
a
student
to
develop a mind that is able to think
clearly and critically.
While
we
are
at
college,
we
should
have
as
frequent
contacts
with
our
teachers
as possible. They are as human as we are but with
a wider range of
knowledge
than
we
do
which
can
help
solve
our
secret
little
problems.
Therefore, they can help us in more
ways than just teaching us school subjects.
Some
of
us
tend
to
go
to
extremes.
We
are
either
too
fond
of
studies
and
become
bookworms
or
too
much
occupied
by
off
campus
activities.
The
former kinds of students, doubtlessly,
are star pupils at college
but not likely
to be successful in their career because
they lack the knowledge of real human
beings and their range of interests is
too
narrow.
The
latter,
since
they
lack
the
basic
knowledge
of
science
and
humanities, are not likely to succeed,
either. Thus we must steer the middle
course between these two extremes.

College life is always accompanied by
various examinations. College students
have
examinations
both
in
the
middle
and
at
the
end
of
each
semester.
Sometimes most of these examinations
are rather difficult. So it is advisable
that you learn some good ways to do
well in examinations.
The best way is
to study the subject thoroughly during the whole
term; listen
attentively to the
teacher's lectures, and take careful notes. Go
over your
textbooks
and
notes
and
make
sure
you
understand
them
all.
Ask
your
classmates
or
teachers
for
help
instantly
if
you
come
across
problems
when
you
clo
your
assignments
after
class.
Do
not
delay
until
you
forget
them
because these problems may prompt out
when you take the exams, which will
affect
your
scores
eventually.
Go
over
the
most
important
parts
in
your
textbooks
and
in
your
notes.
Do
not
try
to
remember
too
many
things
at
a
time.
Make
up
a
timetable
for
your
review.
Start
your
review
at
least
two
weeks
before the examination
takes place. A few days before the examination,
you
should start to go to bed early to
get enough rest. With a refreshed mind, you
will find next morning you are very
efficient in your reviewing. The day before
the examination, it is wise to give
your brain a good rest. Surely, you will pass
and probably get a good score if you
can follow what I suggested above.
We Need to Broaden Our Knowledge
1
.科学技术是社会发展所不可缺少的
2
.社会科学和自然科学相互渗透
3
.现代大学生需要广博的知识
Knowledge is power,especially
scientific and technological knowledge. Science
and
technology
are
the
motive
power
of
the
social
development.
Without
them
human
society
could
never
have
developed
from
primitive
society
to
modern society.
Therefore, to conquer and transform nature, we
must master
scientific knowledge.
However,social knowledge is also
essential. Without it we can not understand
society and don't know the law of
the social development. As a result we
are unable to govern society.
Therefore, besides scientific knowledge we need
to
master
social
science,
philosophy,
politics,
history,
aesthetics,
etc,
so
that
we can
know society from all perspectives and form a
corre
ct world outlook.
To meet new challenges in the 21st
century, we university students should lose
no
time
to
acquire
as
much
knowledge
as
possible
so
that
we
will
become
qualified for our future careers
The Career I Pursue

In China young people usually want to
be engineers, doctors, businessmen, etc,
and
few
want
to
be
teachers.
Unlike
most
young
people
I
decide
to
be
a
teacher.
There
are
many
reasons
for
my
personal
preference
but
generally
they crone down to
three major ones.
First,I was horn in a
teacher's family and so I was greatly
influenced by
my father.
Second, I find that education is
important because it is the basis
of
science and technology and if a country's
education is backward, its
science and
technology will never be advanced. Third, teachers
are needed in
our country, especially
in the countryside.
However, it is not
easy to be a qualified teacher. A qualified
teacher must have
a
good
command
of
his
specialty.
Besides,he
should
be
responsible
and
devoted
to
the
educational
cause.
Most
important
of
all,
he
should
be
patriotic. To be a
qualified teacher in the future I must lose no
time to acquire
as much knowledge as
possible. Furthermore I must know the history of
our
country so as to cultivate
patriotism.

After
entering
college,
we
found,
to
our
surprise,
that
differences
between
high school life and college life are
great. In high school, we always depended
on our parents and teachers to solve
all kinds of difficult problems. At college,
however, we have to rely exclusively on
ourselves. What's more, we have
to
learn how to get along with our classmates and
roommates.
Four years at college is an
important yet very short period of time in our
life.
So it is always expected that we
adapt to this life as quickly as possible. But it
is a pity that not everyone can do so
immediately. Here are some suggestions.
First, get familiar with the main
buildings on the campus. Spend one or two
hours by yourself or with your
classmates to go around the campus so that you
can know the location of such important
places as the library, the dining room,
the post office, the clinic and
classrooms. Next, try to be independent. Learn t
o do such things as making sound
decisions on how
to
spend
your
time,
how
to
spend
your
money
etc,
and
washing
clothes
on
your own. Furthermore,
form good study habits. Talk with your classmates
and
learn from their good habits.
Finally, try to take part in all kinds of
activities to
get out of your solitude
and get on well with your classmates.
