Abstract:

The study of religion-
politics relation is a part of sociology of
religion, which
first appeared, as an
independent subject,
at
the
later 1990s.

Sociology of religion
was
divided into two groups
marked by Emile Durkheim and
Weber
’
s theories. There are
many
achievement
s
—
especially
in
translation
some
works
of
Western
world
and
bringing
in
some
theorie
s
—
in sociology of religion in China since
it began from 1980s. Still it is not
enough, especially in theoretical
formula
、
basic assumption and
study logic.

This article
aims
at
helping
understanding
American
culture
and
guiding
us
in
our
international
communication through a simple study of
the effects religion has on politics.

The thesis,
based on Merton

functionalism, tries to analysis
the 2008 American presidential
election
debates
speech, and
finds
the effects religion
has on
American policy
.

宗教与政治的关系研究是宗教社会学研究的一部分，

的宗教社会学研究起步晚

年代才开始，
到目前取得了一些成就，
特别
是翻译和引进西方著作和理论方面。

研究逻辑等上仍严重

甚至缺失。
本文目的在于用一种理论为指导对宗教对政治的影响进
行研究，

而帮助我们理解美国文化，指导我们的对外交流。本
