The
objective
of
this
test
procedure
is
to
detect
problems
with
adhesion
at
the
earliest
possible
stage
and
thereby
prevent
potentially
very
large
problem
showing
up
later in the coating
process.

Application of the test

Block Stage
You
should
carry
out
the
test
after
completion
of
the
full
coating
system
,when
the
scheme
has
hardened
sufficiently. Two
tests are required per block. One in an area
of good ventilation, for example on the
edge of the block, and
one
in
an
area
where
ventilation
is
more
difficult
and
you
would
expect little air movement.

You should not carry out the test on
stripe coated areas,
unless the system

You should
carry
out
the
tests after completion
of
the
full system on both
upper and bottom areas, again choosing
spots
with

and
poor
ventilation,

The
tests
should be carried out
prior to touch up and final inspection,
to allow for repair of the area damaged
by the test.

number
of
tests
required
depends
upon
the
tank
size. Common sense should prevail. As a
guide you may try
one test per

, but in large tanks
